What is ReSkate?
ReSkate is a third-party open-source mod platform for EA and Full Circle’s skate., often called Skate 4. It supports offline sessions, custom content, Steam lobbies and dedicated servers. This website is an independent guide to the project.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Upstream says the current standalone setup supports offline play with Steam closed. Initial setup still needs an internet connection and Steam sign-in. Steam must be running for Steam multiplayer. Offline support is not the same as skipping the initial setup requirements.
Does ReSkate go in my Steam game folder?
Not with the current standalone launcher. Extract ReSkateLauncher.exe and ReSkate.dll into a new, empty folder. The launcher downloads a separate game copy. Older videos may describe a previous installation method.
Why does a mod or map not work?
Check its dependencies, package instructions and compatible ReSkate version. Test a clean session and add content individually. Custom Lua scripts are currently disabled upstream, so old instructions for scripts/Custom may not apply.
Do Linux and Steam Deck work?
The current standalone-folder flow has not been verified on Proton by upstream. Older Linux notes mention a previous release on CachyOS with Proton Experimental. Steam Deck is untested. Treat both as experimental rather than supported platforms.
Is this an official EA website?
No. ReSkate Wiki is independently maintained and is not affiliated with EA, Full Circle or the ReSkate maintainers. Downloads are linked to their original publishers. Use upstream issue channels for project bugs; contact this site for guide corrections.
